Startup Nigeria Incubation Program 2018 focused on Agriculture and Governance in the North Central zone and Commerce and Finance in the South Eastern zone of Nigeria.

Following its success in 2018, Ventures Platform in conjunction with the National Social Investment have launched this year’s program, focusing on multiple sectors of the economy.

This year, the program would take place simultaneously in three geopolitical zones of the country – North Central, South East, and North West to enable more people to benefit.

Prospective applicants – individuals or groups who have business ideas that need to be refined are all eligible to apply.

According to StartupNigeria, ideal candidates must have an idea of how to solve a problem which majority of Nigerians are facing.

That’s each candidate must have a solution he or she is developing:

…that can reach millions of Nigerians in different regions and at different levels. The problem this candidate is solving is one faced by millions of Nigerians, and the solution the candidate is developing is one that will be accessible to millions of Nigerians and will create jobs. It is only right that this solution is also able to reach the majority of Nigerians at little cost. This type of solution is known as a scalable solution.”

That is, startup Nigeria incubation program 2019 is for any Nigerian who can identify a key problem facing a large population of Nigerian people and has an idea of how that problem can be solved.

Schedule of Startup Nigeria 2019

  1. Application starts 27th May and closes 17th of June, 2019.
  2. Virtual Training starts 8th and closes 26th July, 2019.
  3. Incubation starts 2nd and closes 26th July, 2019.
  4. Pitch Boot camp starts 29th of July and closes 30th July, 2019.
  5. Demo Day commences on July 2019.
  6. Post Program Support starts August and closes September 2019.

This year startup incubation program will take place in North West, North Central, and South East geopolitical zones of the country.
